Ian Kimber went all motivationalistic after his Practitioner course last October...
My interest began in NLP after giving up smoking using hypnotherapy. It fascinated me that after 30+ years of smoking and numerous unsuccessful attempts at ‘giving up’ you could stop in just one day.
Everywhere I looked for more information on hypnotherapy NLP came up within the search – the more I read, the more I wanted to know.
After reading several books by Richard Bandler and Tad James amongst others, I started to look at the costs and time involved for training and after speaking to several other training organisations found Excelr8.
My early conversations with both Ailie and Kirsty confirmed that this was the company that I wished to train with – the enthusiasm and passion for their subject left me in no doubt that I was doing the right thing.
During the Practitioner training in London with Kirsty I managed to rid myself of some limiting beliefs, set goals, create anchors, learn basics of Timeline Therapy (my favourite) plus many other techniques and also formed many lasting friendships.
Since the training (was it really only in October 2007!) I’ve improved both in my work and personal life. Also I have now run several 10k races, two 10 miles and today have done my first half marathon. The strangest thing ….every race since the training, two 10k and two 10 miles and the half marathon I have placed a different finish time in my timeline – and four times it’s worked – almost to the second!!
Although originally I did the training for personal development, I now find family and friends asking for help with issues.
I have recently worked with my sister in law who has been unsuccessfully dieting for many years. I did this over two days (about 5 hours total). I asked Ailie and Kirsty for advice which they gladly gave and the techniques I used were goal setting; like to dislike (cheese); belief change (limiting decisions); swish pattern and strategies. Also did negative emotion removal using Timeline Therapy.
And the future…..I now believe anything is possible. I’m going to take the Timeline Therapy Practitioner course this year and I’d love to start working with more people as soon as possible – it’s such a buzz to be able to change just one person’s life.…
